Kate and Zack spent a week in Frankfurt, Germany in December of 2022. While exploring, before getting comfortable with the subway system, they were walking through the historic area of the city when they came across a vintage jewelry store window. There was a ring that fit them perfectly, but they were not planning on getting engaged. In fact, they had both told their families they were specifically not getting engaged on this group. Zack suggested they just go in and inquire about the ring. From there the ring went to get sized and they picked it up later that week. They returned to the square where they first saw the ring and looked for someone who would capture their moment. And just like that, they were engaged.
Exactly one year from their wedding date, Zack and Kate ran off to Las Vegas to make it official. They may not drink much or gamble often, but they love Vegas. Their elopement included matching $10 tooth tattoos, Matthew Grey Gubler, a pink Cadillac, a wedding cake they ate with plastic forks, popping champagne on top of a parking garage, and nachos. It was absolutely perfect.
